Dibrugarh University (DU), Dibrugarh was established in 1965 under the provisions of the Dibrugarh University Act, 1965 enacted by the Assam Legislative Assembly. The University through the various teaching Departments, Centres of Studies in its campus and the affiliated colleges scattered over the seven districts is imparting higher education in the various branches of learning in Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medical, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Law, Science & Technology, Computer Sciences, Management and Teachers Training. 

The university offers various facilities to the students like Hostel, Guest House, Internet Centre, Auditorium, Cafeteria, Health Centre, Sports. University also offers Scholarships programme to their students.

The University is situated at Rajabheta, the premier town of Dibrugarh in the eastern part of Assam as well as India. The University is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a B grade. The Re-accreditation has also been done in March 2009. Dibrugarh University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and recognised by all Universities in India and abroad on a reciprocal basis. The University Campus extends over an area of more than 500 acres of which 60 acres are still covered under tea plantation.

Dibrugarh University Undergraduate Admission

The University offers UG courses like B.Ed, B.Pharm, BCA, B.Lib, B.P.Ed, BBA, B.A in Performing Arts, B.Tech in ECE, CSE, Mechanical,  Petroleum Engineering, and 5-year Integrated B.A LLB Hons. To be eligible for admission to Undergraduate courses, students should have passed class 12th (10+2) in relevant stream with minimum required marks.

The registration is done through online mode. students who wish to apply can submit the application form on the official website of the university. The selection is done on the basis of entrance exam which is organized by the university followed by interview round. Qualified students in both rounds are considered for admission

Dibrugarh University Postgraduate Admission

The University offers a variety of PG courses such as M.A, M.Sc., M.Com, M.Ed., MBA, M.Lib.Sc and LLB. students having graduation degree in relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks from a well-recognized university or Institute are eligible to apply for Postgraduate courses.

The selection procedure constitutes a written test followed by GD (Group Discussion) and PI (Personal Interview). The final selection is done on the basis of overall performance of applicants.

The Dibrugarh university offers the Online mode of application to the students for which the steps to apply are:

1. Visit the official website of the university and click on Online Application Portal link.
2. Click on ‘Enter’ button and register yourself by entering the valid details. the student will get an Activation Code in their registered mobile number.
3. Enter the mobile number and activation code and click on Activate button to activate the account.
4. Next, login with username and password. Click on Apply Online.
5. Fill the form carefully and upload the required documents.
6. Review your form before submitting and click on submit.
7. Next, click on Proceed to Pay and pay the application fees through net banking/debit card/credit card.
8. After successful submission, students will get an Acknowledgment slip with unique transaction id.
9. Download the Acknowledgment slip for future reference.
